Puget Sound Engineering Council (PSEC)
The local IISE Puget Sound Chapter is one of the 25 local engineering Societies that make up the Puget Sound Engineering Council (PSEC). As a group, PSEC is involved with several engineering educational activities including the K-12 Engineering Fair, providing speakers to high schools & middle schools, and Mentor Nights at local University and Community Colleges.
Several of the PSEC member societies sponsor engineering education programs that target middle school & high school students: Popsicle Stick Bridge Building contest, Future Cities Competition, Math Counts, and FIRST Robotics competition. All of these programs utilize volunteer engineers, frequently from Younger Member Forums.
